Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
This policy explains how Dateium (“Dateium,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Dateium iPhone and Android app, this website, and related services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
1. Who this is for
Dateium is a training app for men 18 and older. It is not a dating marketplace, not therapy, and not directed at children. Do not put other people’s legal names, addresses, phone numbers, or private details in logs, journals, or practice.
2. Information we collect
- Account: email, password, and the first name you choose, if you create an account.
- Training data you enter: intake answers, daily checklists, approach logs, journals, practice transcripts, scripts you copy, ratings, and weekly reviews.
- Device: app version, device type, crash or diagnostic data, and a push token if you allow notifications.
- Microphone: only if you use speaking practice or voice journaling, and only while that feature is running.
- Payments: if you subscribe, Apple or Google process the charge. We do not store full card numbers.
In demo mode, training data stays on your device. With an account, it is stored in our database under access rules tied to your user id.
3. How we use it
We use this information to run the app: your daily mission, practice, logs, progress, reminders, and support. If you use coaching feedback, the text you submit for that session may be sent to our model provider solely to generate that feedback. We do not use your logs to sell ads.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context advertising.
We share information only with:
- Service providers that host the app, store data, send push notifications, or generate coaching feedback, under contracts that limit their use.
- Apple and Google, for store accounts, receipts, and required platform services.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
- A successor if Dateium is sold, subject to this policy.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep account and training data while your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time. See Delete your account. After deletion we remove or de-identify the data except where the law requires us to keep a record.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. You can review choices on Privacy choices. Email support@dateium.com to make a request. We will not treat you worse for exercising these rights.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and account-scoped access rules. No system is perfectly secure.
8. Children
The Services are for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has used Dateium, email us and we will delete that data.
9. International users
We operate in the United States. If you use Dateium from another country, your information is processed in the United States.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. For material changes we will give additional notice in the app or by email when we have one.
11. Contact
